Project Overview

Akshaw Reservoir is located in Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and is a controlled water conservancy project on the Akshaw River, a tributary of the Pishan River, recommended by river basin planning.

After completion, the Akshaw Reservoir Project will replace the downstream irrigation area storage reservoir project, improve the efficiency of water resource utilization, improve the irrigation conditions of 293,000 mu in the irrigation area of the Pishan River Basin, expand the irrigation area of the basin irrigation area by 99,000 mu, and raise the flood control standard of the downstream river from once in 5 years to once in 20 years.

The project is equipped with a navigation and flow measurement monitoring system in the upstream of Akshaw Village, which realizes the online monitoring of water level and flow data, and provides direct support for the decision-making and operation of reservoir safety production management.

The value of the project

Through the functions of self-adaptation, self-filtration, self-processing, and self-identification of the navigation and current measurement equipment, this project overcomes the great interference of the water flow to the radar wave, and realizes the high-precision measurement of flow data under the condition of high flow velocity. The completed water resources monitoring system realizes that the water volume of the reservoir can be checked and the water consumption is controllable, and the flow measurement equipment has the characteristics of low maintenance and strong adaptability.
