Project Overview

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Shandong Province took the lead in fully implementing the agricultural water-saving project in the Yellow River irrigation area around the goal of "curing floods and preventing drought". There are 65 irrigation areas in 56 counties (cities and districts) along 9 cities along the Yellow River, including 29 large-scale irrigation areas and 36 small and medium-sized irrigation areas, with an effective irrigation area of 28.58 million mu.


In order to achieve the construction goals of water-saving transformation in irrigation areas, comprehensive reform of agricultural water prices, and promotion of intensive and economical utilization of water resources, more than 1,000 sets of navigation and flow measurement equipment are distributed in Jinan, Zibo, Dongying, Jining, Liaocheng, Binzhou, Dezhou, Heze, Yantai and other places in the flow monitoring stations of important nodes in irrigation areas, which effectively solve the problems of water measurement in the irrigation area of the Yellow River Basin (traditional contact equipment cannot be used normally) and equipment protection during non-irrigation periods.

Through measures such as continuing to build and building new flow monitoring stations, the construction of the water network in the irrigation area will be used as the carrier to steadily promote the construction of backbone irrigation and drainage projects, scientifically design water-saving projects in the field, improve metering facilities, improve information support capabilities, and create modern irrigation areas with perfect facilities, scientific management, efficient water conservation and good ecology.
